You cannot put the Casper or any other mattress directly on the frame. The metal bed frame is designed to be used with a foundation or box spring.

What kind of foundation do I use with the metal bed frame?
The Casper foundation is the perfect option for the metal bed frame. Should you opt for an alternative foundation or box spring, choose one with sturdy, unyielding slats with a lot of surface area — these are often described as “modern style.”
